Hello from Long Island

I'm Flora, here looking for some Christians to chat with beyond my usual church circle. I'm a lifelong Long Island resident (and Massachusetts, occasionally). I have a lot of free time in the evening and the only other thing to do around town is drink gin and play tennis!

We have family who used to live on Long Island. The only experience I have of New York was as a boy passing through NYC. I remember my Dad telling me almost anything one can find (in a good sense) is on Broadway.

My wife and I are members here and reside in the San Francisco Bay Area. We hope to share more with you and everyone else here.

Nice to meet you, Bob and Hazel. Do you know where I'm Long Island they lived? I'm in a little hamlet up Plandome street, but I have been to most of the villages around Manhasset and Locust Valley.
I've actually spent very little time in NYC myself. I worked for a bank for two years in NYC and had to commute there, but I always came straight home after.
I've never been to the West Coast, but I have some Dutch family who live in Washington.

Welcome to Biblical Truth Forum. We are glad to have you here. It is good to meet you, and I enjoyed your introduction. I had to smile at your comment about the only other thing to do around town being drink gin and play tennis. Tennis is fun.

It's not like like live in the middle of nowhere, but I don't shop and and don't want to drive to NYC, so the club is the easiest place to get out of the house. People do drink drink lot of gin around here
