After posting Steven Spielberg’s new movie Disclosure Day, I decided to do more research on the topic to see how it might be seen through the lens of the Bible. This is what I came up with.
Disclaimer: This article includes speculation and questions concerning UFOs, UAPs, government disclosure, cultural conditioning, and possible spiritual deception. It does not claim to prove that UFOs are extraterrestrial, angelic, demonic, or part of any coordinated government plan. Where Scripture speaks clearly, it is presented as truth. Where Scripture is silent and the evidence remains uncertain, the ideas discussed are possibilities only and should not be treated as established fact.:

For most of our lives, UFOs belonged to the outer edges of conversation.

Bring them up in public, and people laughed. Pilots feared reporting strange encounters because they might lose credibility. Government officials dismissed the subject while quietly collecting information. Hollywood turned it into entertainment, and anyone who took it seriously was usually portrayed as unstable, gullible, or strange.

Then something changed.

The government stopped calling them UFOs and began calling them UAPs, unidentified anomalous phenomena. The Pentagon confirmed that several widely circulated Navy videos were genuine military recordings. Congress held public hearings. Military pilots testified. Intelligence officials made extraordinary allegations. NASA formed a scientific study team. The Department of Defense created an office devoted to investigating what is being reported.

The subject moved from the supermarket tabloid to the congressional hearing room.

That does not prove aliens are here.

But it does raise a question that should not be brushed aside.

Why has the subject become respectable now?

Something Is Being Seen

Let us begin with what we actually know.

People are seeing things they cannot immediately identify. Some incidents involve military pilots, radar systems, infrared cameras, or several witnesses. Some objects appear to move in unusual ways. Others seem to vanish, rotate, hover, or travel at speeds that are difficult to judge from the available images.

But there is an important difference between an unidentified object and an extraterrestrial spacecraft.

Most UAP reports investigated by the government eventually receive ordinary explanations. They turn out to be balloons, birds, drones, aircraft, satellites, reflections, sensor effects, or objects whose apparent speed was created by camera angle and motion.

Many other cases remain unresolved because the available data is too poor.

A blurry video does not become evidence of alien life merely because no one can identify the blur.

The government has publicly stated that it has found no verifiable evidence proving extraterrestrial beings, off-world technology, or nonhuman spacecraft. NASA has likewise said that the present evidence does not establish an extraterrestrial origin.

That must be stated honestly.

There are genuine unanswered questions, but there is no publicly verified alien spacecraft.

Unidentified still means unidentified.

The Real Mystery May Not Be the Object

The most important question may not be, “What is flying through the sky?”

It may be, “Who will tell us what it means?”

An event and the explanation given for it are not the same thing.

A military camera could record something real while officials misunderstand it. A pilot could honestly report what he saw while reaching the wrong conclusion about its origin. A government could release genuine footage while withholding important context. A witness could sincerely repeat information that someone else invented.

Something real can be used to support a false explanation.

That is where this subject becomes more serious than strange lights and grainy videos.

What if the final deception is not convincing people that something exists?

What if it is convincing people to believe the wrong story about what exists?

Suppose the Announcement Came Tomorrow

Imagine that television networks interrupted their regular programming with a worldwide announcement.

Government leaders appear together. Scientists stand beside them. Military officials confirm that the evidence is authentic. The public is told that intelligent beings have made contact with mankind.

Then comes the message.

These beings claim they have watched humanity for thousands of years. They say they guided our development, influenced ancient civilizations, and planted life upon Earth. They tell us that our religions were primitive attempts to understand earlier contact with them.

They announce that mankind has reached a turning point. We must leave behind our old beliefs, national divisions, and moral restrictions. We must unite, evolve, and accept their guidance if the human race is to survive.

Would the world believe them?

Millions probably would.

Many people who ridicule belief in God would quickly accept a story about beings from another planet creating humanity. They would reject Genesis as mythology while receiving an extraterrestrial creation story as scientific revelation.

But such a claim would solve nothing.

Who created the beings?

Who created their world?

Who established the laws that allowed their universe to exist?

Where did matter, life, intelligence, consciousness, and moral responsibility come from?

Moving the origin of life to another planet does not remove the need for a Creator. It only pushes the same unanswered question farther into space.

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
Genesis 1:1

Are We Being Prepared to Accept Something?

Movies and television have spent decades teaching us how an encounter with beings from another world might happen.

Sometimes the visitors come as invaders. Sometimes they come as rescuers. Sometimes they are portrayed as the ancient creators of humanity. Sometimes they appear as advanced teachers who have arrived to warn us, unite us, or lead us into a new stage of existence.

The stories differ, but the central idea remains familiar.

The answer humanity needs will come down from the sky.

Now the government is releasing information, public hearings are being held, documentaries are appearing, podcasts are filled with UAP discussions, and films such as Disclosure Day are bringing the subject before millions of people.

Does that prove Hollywood and the government are secretly working together?

No.

We should not make accusations without evidence. Filmmakers follow popular subjects because popular subjects make money. Government transparency and entertainment may simply be arriving at the same moment.

But stories shape expectations.

When people repeatedly see an idea presented in fiction, that idea begins to feel less impossible. The public becomes familiar with the language, the imagery, and the possible explanations.

What once sounded ridiculous begins to sound reasonable.

Perhaps this is merely entertainment following the news.

Perhaps it is a gradual effort to reduce fear and prepare society for information not yet released.

Perhaps the entire disclosure movement is being used to shape public belief, even if those participating in it do not fully understand where it may lead.

We do not know.

But Christians should not be afraid to ask the question.

The Bible Does Not Say UFOs Are Demons

This must be said plainly.

The Bible does not identify modern UFOs or UAPs as extraterrestrials, angels, demons, secret aircraft, or beings from another dimension.

Anyone who says, “The Bible proves UFOs are demons,” is claiming more than Scripture reveals.

God has not told us what every unexplained object is.

But the Bible does tell us that visible matter is not the whole of reality.

“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible...”
Colossians 1:16
There is an invisible creation. Angels are real. Demons are real. Satan is real. Spiritual deception is real.

That does not prove that a UAP is a spiritual manifestation.

It does prove that Christians should not assume that every real event must have a purely material explanation.

At the same time, we should not run to the other extreme and call every unexplained light demonic. A drone is not a demon. A balloon is not an angel. A camera artifact is not a sign of the end times.

The biblical answer is not blind acceptance or automatic rejection.

The biblical answer is discernment.

“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”
1 Thessalonians 5:21

Could Spiritual Deception Wear a Technological Face?

Here is where we move from established fact into speculation.

Could a spiritual deception present itself in a form that modern people would accept?

Ancient people lived in a world of kings, temples, armies, chariots, and pagan gods. Modern people live in a world of satellites, spacecraft, artificial intelligence, genetic engineering, and advanced weapons.

People often interpret the unknown through concepts they already understand.

An ancient man might describe a strange experience in religious language. A modern man might describe an equally strange experience using technological language.

That does not prove the two experiences are connected.

But it raises a reasonable question.

Would modern humanity be more willing to listen to a being presented as an advanced extraterrestrial than to one openly presenting itself as a spirit?

Many people would immediately reject a religious apparition. The same people might eagerly accept a supposed visitor from another solar system because the claim sounds scientific.

The appearance might change while the purpose remains the same.

Deception.

Again, this is not a declaration that UFOs are demonic. It is a possibility Christians should not dismiss without thought.

The Bible warns:

“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”
2 Corinthians 11:14
Satan does not always appear as something dark, violent, or openly evil. He can present himself as light.

A false message may appear compassionate, intelligent, progressive, peaceful, and full of hope.

The Message Matters More Than the Manifestation

Suppose something appeared tomorrow that no government, military, or scientist could explain.

Suppose it performed acts that seemed impossible.

That would still not prove that its message was true.

A display of power is not the same as truth.

The Bible warns that deception can come with impressive signs:

“Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness...”
2 Thessalonians 2:9–10
A lying wonder does not necessarily mean that everyone imagined the event. Something extraordinary could happen while a false meaning is attached to it.

The object could be real while the story about it is false.

The experience could be genuine while the interpretation is a lie.

The messenger could be powerful while the message leads away from God.

That is why Christians must judge the message, not merely stand amazed at the manifestation.

Does the message deny that God created mankind?

Does it deny sin and judgment?

Does it claim that man only needs to evolve, awaken, or reach a higher consciousness?

Does it replace repentance with enlightenment?

Does it deny that Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh?

Does it offer another savior, another origin, or another gospel?

Then it is false.

It does not matter whether the message comes from a politician, a scientist, a religious leader, a glowing figure, or a craft hovering over the White House.

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”
Galatians 1:8
Even an angelic appearance does not have authority to change the gospel.

The Alien Gospel Would Be an Old Lie

The possible message is not difficult to imagine.

You are not fallen. You are unfinished.

You do not need forgiveness. You need advancement.

You do not need repentance. You need awakening.

You were not created in the image of God. You were planted here by greater beings.

Jesus Christ is not your Lord. He was merely a teacher, an enlightened visitor, or one messenger among many.

Humanity must unite under a new authority to enter the next stage of evolution.

That would sound modern, but the lie would be ancient.

“Ye shall be as gods.”
Genesis 3:5
The serpent promised advancement apart from obedience to God. The language may change, but rebellion still sells the same promise.

You can become more without bowing before your Creator.

You can gain knowledge without submitting to truth.

You can reach a higher state without repentance.

You can save yourself.

That is not progress. It is Eden wearing a space suit.

Why Trust the Government Now?

Governments sometimes tell the truth. Governments also conceal information, protect classified programs, spread propaganda, and release only what serves their interests.

A genuine government document is not the same as the whole truth.

An authentic video may still come without the information necessary to interpret it. A public hearing may reveal sincere testimony without proving the testimony correct. An official denial may be honest, or it may protect something classified.

Christians should not automatically trust government authorities.

Neither should we automatically assume every denial proves a cover-up.

Suspicion is not evidence.

“He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.”
Proverbs 18:13
Listen. Investigate. Compare claims. Demand evidence.

But never surrender your judgment merely because someone has a title, a uniform, a laboratory, or a security clearance.

Heaven Has Already Spoken

The world is waiting for disclosure.

People want the government to open its files. They want hidden programs exposed. They want to know whether something intelligent exists beyond mankind. They want answers about where we came from and why we are here.

Humanity is looking upward for a message.

But heaven has already spoken.

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son.”
Hebrews 1:1–2
The greatest revelation from beyond our world did not arrive in a metal craft.

The Creator entered His own creation.

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...”
John 1:14
Jesus Christ came into this world. He lived without sin. He died upon the cross for sinners. He was buried. He rose bodily from the dead.

He did not come to help mankind evolve.

He came to save that which was lost.

Watch the Story More Than the Sky

Something is being seen.

Much of it has ordinary explanations. Some of it remains unexplained. There may be secret technology involved. There may be confusion, exaggeration, disinformation, or phenomena we do not yet understand.

There may also be more happening than the public has been told.

But the greatest danger is not an unidentified object moving across the sky.

The greatest danger is that mankind may accept a false explanation because it comes wrapped in mystery, authority, technology, and apparent wonder.

Jesus warned:

“Take heed that no man deceive you.”
Matthew 24:4
Watch the skies if you choose.

But watch the story more carefully.

The lie may not be that something is there.

The lie may be what the world is told it is.

So well put together, thank you : )

Good morning, everyone;

I'm sorry to sound like a party pooper.

UFO "sightings" began from the early centuries. My Dad watches Ancient Aliens on the History Channel. People who believe the sightings as possible life elsewhere beside Earth are entitled to believe what they will.

Is the technology from it's flying machines the same from past sightings? Are aliens the same age in years, like humans, do they have a life cycle? Why has Earth never been attacked? Are Extraterrestrials more advanced than us that they know the results of war so their sightings are a way of observing and help us coexist with each other on Earth?

So many questions are initiated by societies, space programs, the government but no solid answers or physical appearances of aliens. To me this remains a frenzy.

I do believe God is Creator of the entire universe and it's "possible" with God He may have included life somewhere else in the solar system. I don't see where He makes it plain in the Bible whether life or no life existing elsewhere beside Earth.

To be honest I'm not able to interpret this in Scripture nor am I entertained. But I do know without a doubt that the Bible is infallible and this includes God's promise of protection over His followers whether UFOs, Extraterrestrials, Bigfoot, werewolves or the Loch Ness Monster.

God bless you all.

Do these Prehistoric UFO drawings prove we are not alone?
Many of these drawings around the world have been dated back "10000 years" and older?

"Ancient Aliens Sumarian Decor"

The oldest Sumerian artifacts and written records date back to approximately 4500 BC,
with the civilization flourishing between 4500 BC and 1750 BC.

According to ancient astronaut theorists like Zecharia Sitchin, some Sumerian tablets
are interpreted as being 36,000 years old or older, describing extraterrestrial visitors known as the Anunnaki.

How Old is the Earth?

"Earth is estimated to be approximately 4.54 billion years old, with a margin of error of about 1% (±50 million years). This scientific consensus is derived primarily from radiometric dating of meteorites, such as the Canyon Diablo meteorite, as well as lunar samples and the oldest terrestrial minerals like zircon crystals."

Lack of Empirical Evidence

The primary reason for rejection is the complete absence of physical evidence. Despite decades of excavation and analysis, no artifacts, biological remains, or technological residues of extraterrestrial origin have ever been found. Claims rely entirely on misinterpretations of existing archaeological data rather than new discoveries.
  • No Alien Artifacts: Systematic excavations at sites like the Giza Pyramids and Göbekli Tepe have uncovered worker settlements, tools, and quarry marks that demonstrate human construction methods. No advanced machinery or non-terrestrial alloys have been discovered.
  • Genetic Continuity: Genetic studies show a continuous evolution of Homo sapiens without any sudden anomalies or "alien" genetic markers that proponents claim would result from hybridization.
  • Astronomical Silence: There is no signal or physical trace in the astronomical record to support the feasibility or occurrence of such visits, given the immense energy and time required for interstellar travel.
  • Shamanic meditation and alien drawings are linked through the concept of accessing altered states of consciousness (ASC) to tap into the collective unconscious. According to artist and researcher Chris Kaplan, shamanic practices like breath alteration and meditation allow individuals to enter trance states where archetypal imagery, including alien or extraterrestrial figures, emerges from the psyche.
Have you ever done any "breathwork" ... I have many years ago ...

Jesus Christ is widely regarded as the most famous and influential person in history,
with his name spoken billions of times over two millennia
and his image being among the most widely recognized globally.

This alone leaves a serious question?

Could it be that somethig is brewing?
The Alien is being "resurrected"?
Other?

Each to their Own?

To be honest I'm not able to interpret this in Scripture nor am I entertained. But I do know without a doubt that the Bible is infallible and this includes God's promise of protection over His followers whether UFOs, Extraterrestrials, Bigfoot, werewolves or the Loch Ness Monster.

God bless you all.

Bob, you are not being a party pooper at all. I understand what you were saying, and I probably should have made my point clearer.

I am not saying I believe in UFOs, aliens, or little green men. I do not believe that. When I talk about UFOs or UAPs, I am not trying to build a doctrine around science fiction. My point is that “unidentified” does not automatically mean “extraterrestrial.” The Bible already gives us categories for things mankind cannot explain.

Colossians 1:16 says of Christ, “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible.” That means if something is invisible, spiritual, angelic, demonic, or beyond man’s normal understanding, it is still created by Christ and subject to Him. Nothing is outside His authority.

The article brought up examples like 2 Kings 6, where Elisha’s servant had his eyes opened and saw “the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha” ~2 Kings 6:17. That was not a UFO. It was God showing the unseen realm. Ezekiel also saw “a wheel in the middle of a wheel” in Ezekiel 1:16, connected with the living creatures. Again, I am not saying that was a spaceship. I am saying Scripture shows that there are real heavenly and spiritual realities beyond what man normally sees.

The Bible also warns about deception. 2 Corinthians 11:14 says, “Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” 1 Timothy 4:1 warns that some will give heed to “seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.” 2 Thessalonians 2:9 speaks of “power and signs and lying wonders.” So when the world starts looking for messages from beyond, Christians should not be gullible. We test everything by Scripture.

So no, I am not promoting belief in aliens or UFO religion. I am saying the Bible gives a better explanation than the world does. There are angels. There are fallen angels. There are demonic deceptions. There are things visible and invisible. And whatever people claim to see, the final question is not, “What does the government say?” The final question is, “What does the Word of God say?”

Good morning, David and Yesua888;

I'm good. I attempt to keep a prayerful open mind/heart with many topics including the many theories of UFOs. I was trying to understand the reason for your thread and thank you for the points that I blue-lighted.

One of the Books you mentioned from the Bible is Ezekiel. This is what the UFO theorists famously refer to as a possibility of aliens.

I appreciate Linda's post and after reading it, could be titled, "What if?" The illustration you shared of prehistoric UFO drawings is an example of early, symbolic art of people, not necessarily aliens as the UFO enthusiasts suggest.

As a boy I believed Santa Claus was real up until the age of 10. My parents did a good job of convincing their kids of this myth. Though we went to Church, times were different. In some ways you could say our parents were wrong for trying to maintain the "Christmas spirit," not to mislead us.

God bless
everyone.

Bob
