8 Words the Holy Spirit Loves… But Most Christians Never Speak
I love it when people call for surrender. Humility. Repentance. That’s Gospel stuff. God wants us to be transformed by the renewing of our mind ~Romans 12:2. He wants us to pray “Search me, O God” ~Psalm 139:23. Jesus said, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness” ~Matthew 5:6. Amen and Amen!

But let’s pump the brakes here… The Holy Spirit isn’t a gumball machine that dispenses power when you pray the right word. He isn’t waiting for a “password.” The Bible never says, “Speak this phrase and you shall receive_____ from heaven.” John 3:8 Jesus said, “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” ~John 3:8.

Translation: The Spirit of God does what He wants, not what we say.

If you’re in Christ you already HAVE the Holy Spirit ~Romans 8:9. The issue is not how to unlock Him. The issue is if you are living under His influence. “Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh” ~Galatians 5:16.

That is obedience, not “activation” talk. Yes, surrender sounds biblical. Brokenness sounds biblical. Asking God for help sounds biblical. But there is no magical “spiritual language” that will activate your trip with the Spirit. POWER comes through ABIDING in Christ ~John 15:4. Plain and simple. “If ye love me, keep my commandments” ~John 14:15 That is what Jesus said.

You don’t get at God through technique. You walk with Him through obedience.

Let’s run after holiness. Let’s walk in faithfulness. As long as we remember that we will NEVER depart from Scripture by drifting into “spiritual mechanics.” And that distinction makes all the difference.
