Listening to this was like traveling on an old, bumpy dirt road on a dead of winter night. The cold wind is biting and the world is dormant with half-lidded eyes. You describe this season as the Bible tells us the last days will be: cold and harsh, yet with that beautiful, strong hope over the horizon. It all parallels that of the undeniable truth that “the night is far spent, the day is at hand” ~Romans 13:12.
The image of the stone cut out of the mountain without hands comes like the crack of a rifle echoing through the valley. All proud kings, all smooth-talking deceiver’s and all wolf in sheep’s clothing’s are all going to be dust when Christ makes His arrival. This is Daniel 100% straight up and it sounds just like the days that we are trudging through.
You are completely right about the risk. People are floating away and being lured into every shiny thing that comes their way. Jesus warned us in plain daylight, “Beware of false prophets” ~Matthew 7:15. Some of these voices sound so pleasant and comforting but lead us to the dead of a winter night.
But what I did pick up on is the real hope that you wove through it all. God is faithful, He does not forsake His children. Even in the coldest and darkest times, He keeps His people standing tall. “The Lord knows those who are His” ~2 Timothy 2:19.
This was raw and real. It had that campfire spoken truth beneath a broad and biting sky. And it all points to the One and Only who is able to lead us through the harsh winter and into that everlasting spring.
