The Book Of Revelation For The World Today

The Bible has already revealed why Israel is at the center of Satan’s fury, and why a persecution greater than anything the world has ever seen is still ahead? Revelation 12 pulls back the curtain on Satan’s final assault against Israel, the Antichrist’s coming war, and God’s miraculous intervention.

There are several things here that Revelation 12 plainly teaches. The dragon is Satan (Revelation 12:9). He is cast down, filled with wrath because his time is short, persecutes the woman, and then makes war with those “which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Revelation 12:12–17). God will preserve His purposes, and Satan cannot stop Him.

But we need to be careful not to claim certainty where Scripture does not give it. Revelation 12 does not name Petra as the place of refuge, identify the eagle’s wings as the United States, say the flood is propaganda or a particular army, or connect the modern founding of Israel in 1948 to this passage. Those may be theories, but they are not the words of the text.

The claim that Christians will receive the same guaranteed physical protection described here also needs qualification. Revelation says the beast is permitted “to make war with the saints, and to overcome them” (Revelation 13:7). Many saints will suffer and be killed, yet they overcome “by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony” (Revelation 12:11). God’s keeping of His people is certain, but He has not promised every believer protection from physical persecution or death.

Let us hold firmly to what God has revealed and humbly distinguish it from details He has not revealed.

This is so often overlooked, where Christians hang onto the belief that we will not be persecuted.

Key Bible verses explicitly stating God protects His saints from evil and death include Psalm 121:7, which declares, "The LORD will guard you from all evil; He will preserve your soul," and Psalm 97:10, which states, "He preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked."

The beast will not take our souls ... Everything is to God's Glory!

Yes we have to make that distinction. God keeping his people does not always mean he will keep us alive. There are many examples of this in Revelation. "fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul" Matthew 10:28 As stated in Revelation 12: 11 they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony. Some even gave there lives unto the death.

The beast can kill your body but he cannot kill your soul if you belong to Christ. We have more than just life.
