Jesus told us take up our cross deny ourself...

old self has a tendency to flare up and if not careful like a wild fire can spread be be hard to contain..

this is why we are told to keep our heart with all diligence. Lord willing sunday message will on this subject of our cross .

i am only giving a small prelude but we are told in romans 12:1-2 present our bodies a living sacrifice 2nd verse mentions renewing our mind we find in philippics 4:8 to think on these things

then in collisions we are told to mortify the flesh. we often act like this is a hard task.. but good old sporadic peter wrote in 2nd peter 1:3 He has given us all things Good old peter the been there done that preacher..

through our failures we learn.. ( Holy ghost school of hard knocks ) i have a diploma and working on another lol ..

The Bible is not on trial. Man is. Jesus said, “the scripture cannot be broken” ~John 10:35. God’s Word does not bow before modern skepticism. It exposes the heart and stands forever. The question is not whether Scripture will stand. It will. The question is whether we will stand with it.
When God warns you, don’t brush it off. Answer Him while you still can, because a hardened heart doesn’t stay neutral, it moves toward judgment. Scripture is clear: “Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts” ~Hebrews 3:15, and again, “He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy” ~Proverbs 29:1.
We must be careful not to cater to people's carnal desires, but rather point them to God.
