Now this is true as I know the people and it happened.

I was having congregational prayer in church and felt impressed that I should ask if there was anyone that wanted to give their testimony. So I got up and greeted everyone and went over the usual asking if anyone needed prayer to raise up their hands and that the deacons had prayer cards for them and they could bring it up and put it into the prayer box and it would be prayed for during the week. Then I asked what had come into my mind so you see how the Holy Spirit works, I asked if anyone would like to give a testimony, and when no one seemed ready to give one, I gave my testimony and had prayer...

But let me back up a bit to give some context. One of our members had prayed that week that we would give testimonies in church, and I didnt know that. He had been working in another members house and she heard it, and was to come to church with us but had an medical issue that kept her from coming. So she didnt tell us about it, now there is more as next in the sermon, it began with a call for testimony and guess what, the people began to get up and the elders came over with microphones as they began to give their testimonies. The Holy Spirit answered the prayer of the brother, which I had no idea about, and testimonies were given that raised the spirit of everyone who heard it, even the brother (who was there) who never let on about his prayer for the testimonies to be given.

Now, for a follow up. I spoke to the brother that prayed for testimonies when I saw him during our mens ministry yesterday and told everyone that I had been given witness of what he had asked for in his prayer at the sisters house (as he was there with his crew to paint it, and they began with prayer). And he remembered and we all rejoiced, and there is more. The sister who heard the prayer had her daughter visiting with her at her house when we had gone to see her, (who does not come to church). I asked her to repeat what she said of the prayer so her daughter could hear (and to make sure I heard it right) and we had the mornings service online already, and we turned it on and she and her daughter were able to see the results of the brothers prayer......

Good morning, Hobie;

I bet during that time it was exciting, seeing God at work.

Thank you for sharing.

Preach the truth and you’ll separate the Goats from the Sheep. Expose the lies and you’ll uncover the Wolves among the flock.

Because the Bible is not up for debate.
I don’t follow religion, I follow Jesus Christ.
I don’t lean on tradition, I stand on Scripture.
I don’t water down the gospel to make people comfortable. I proclaim it as God gave it.
