I was born and raised in a non Christian family but I believe there is a God.. During my teens, I used to sell Christmas cards to my classmates. Seeing those nativity scenes, I thought Jesus was just a random man God chose to be His Son. Then during one of the Bible studies I had attended (around 2012), I came to know about the virgin birth and that was when I was enlightened - that Jesus is the Son of God and how He gave up His life for us sinners. I have come to love to study the Bible and am here to find resources and answers to my questions. Btw I am now in my 60"s.
Welcome to Biblical Truth Forum, Rose. We’re truly glad you’re here.
What you described is how God works so often. He takes a seed planted early, even when understanding is incomplete, and He brings light at the right time. Nativity scenes gave you an image, but the Word gave you truth. Scripture says, “The entrance of thy words giveth light” ~Psalm 119:130. When God opens the Word, confusion gives way to clarity.
Jesus was never a backup plan or a man promoted later. The angel told Mary, “That holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God” ~Luke 1:35. From the beginning, God made it clear who Jesus is. And the reason He came is just as clear. “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures” ~1 Corinthians 15:3. That truth changes everything.
Your hunger to study the Bible is evidence of God at work. Scripture says, “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ” ~2 Peter 3:18. Growth does not stop with age. As long as God gives breath, He gives purpose.
You are in the right place to ask questions and search the Scriptures. This forum keeps the Bible in the driver’s seat. No shortcuts. No substitutes.
Dig in. The Word will not disappoint.
