I've been digging in the astronomy and maths. I would appretiate if anyone could help me stress test the logical argument in here?

The Celestial Mechanics Proof for a Designer

Premise 1: Universal Mathematical Governed OrderThe movements of celestial bodies are exhaustively described by precise, universal mathematical laws, such as Kepler’s Third Law (T2=G(M+m)4π2a3) and Newton’s inverse-square law (F=Gr2m1m2).

  • Sub-implication: The physical universe operates according to rigid, invariant, abstract mathematical relationships rather than arbitrary chaos.
Premise 2: Extreme Gravitational and Orbital Fine-TuningThe numerical values governing these celestial equations exist within razor-thin tolerances that defy naturalistic explanation by blind chance (e.g., altering gravitational or electromagnetic constants by 1 part in 1040 prevents stable star formation, and fractional changes to Earth's orbital eccentricity or axial tilt cause catastrophic planetary ejection or collision).

  • Sub-implication: The parameters required for long-term dynamical stability are statistically precluded from being accidental products of stochastic processes.
Premise 3: The Law of Entropy vs. Information DensityIn a purely mechanistic universe, isolated systems default toward maximum entropy, disorder, and thermal decay; yet, celestial mechanics exhibits macroscopic, low-entropy structures with high informational complexity, such as the Laplace resonance of Jupiter's moons (Io, Europa, Ganymede locked in a 1:2:4 orbital period ratio).

  • Sub-implication: Blind thermodynamic processes do not spontaneously generate long-term, non-colliding, multi-body computational stability out of primeval chaos.
Premise 4: The Ontological Status of Mathematical InformationMathematical laws are immaterial, abstract, prescriptive truths that pre-exist physical matter, govern its operations, and cannot be reduced to physical substances.

  • Sub-implication: An immaterial language of mathematics embedded into the fundamental fabric of space, mass, and motion requires an antecedent Author, precisely as source code requires a programmer and a blueprint requires an architect.
Conclusion:Therefore, because the universe contains complex, mathematically precise, and dynamically stable celestial architectures that cannot originate from thermodynamic chaos or account for their own abstract informational laws, the laws of celestial mechanics necessitate the existence of a transcendent, rational Creator.

Good morning, kv100;

Welcome to Biblical Truth Forum. I read your thread and was impressed by your interest and study in this subject. This is an area that I'm not qualified to understand nor test. I don't even use these terms in life therefore I would have to refer to my dictionary as I'm reading.

But I'm always willing to learn something new.

I do have a question. In your Conclusion you wrote, "the laws of celestial mechanics necessitate the existence of a transcendent, rational Creator" does this support the existence of a Creator?

Perhaps to encourage conversation in this topic, could you simplify your outline?

God bless you, kv100, and your entire family.

Bob

I'm sorry, I don't know how to reduce it beyond itself.

Hello kv100;

Thank you for your honesty. Speaking for myself, I could resort to AI (at times) but I also like to fellowship directly with the author.

I admire others who study hard in their zeal for this subject.

God bless you and your family, brother.

Sir, I see your true intention. So let me address you. You basically accusing me of not building this argument myself, what you are doing is embaressing. The thing is, your limitations are not mine. I can prove God exists using evidence in physic interwoven with logic, or quantitative magnitude and even the law. If you think AI can do what i can do, i challenge you to ask it to prove God exist using say astrology and ontology. You will watch it fail dismally. You assuming i used AI is you admiting what i gave you was beyond your comprehension. We are not the same. I believe in God to the point of certainty, as a result, proving God exist is one of the many things i learnt to do.

You're asking if the last line in my entire argument supports the existence of a creator, what are you doing? my entire argument is the proof not the last sentence. I see your true intentions. Perhaps try asking Grok or whatever AI to do what i did or disprove my argumentand and let me know how it goes....

Hello kv100;

No. I uplifted you to God for putting together your topic. 👍 Most of my life I personally never understood this subject, and thats on me.

My motive was to share how impressed I am with your knowledge of astronomy and math.

I was asking for a more fundamental teaching from you so others beside myself may understand at least the basics of this topic, which may encourage further discussion and overall fellowship. For those who do understand your OP, is a blessing, benefit for further reading and learning.

I have no reservations regarding AI as I find so many flavors of this technology. I pick and choose when to rely on it, and I also enjoy engaging directly with the poster (author) to get the answers, understand more and learn, whether it's your background, as well as other's interest in physics, mathematics, biology, animal lovers which I fall short and so much more on a forum or in person.

I was a poor math student and only got as far as basic algebra during college. Ironically, I worked 23+ years in the accounting field.

Yes, I agree with you. Everyone has limitations and capacity. This is beneficial for those who have ears to hear and sharing their knowledge for teaching.

One of my daily anthems is in Ephesians 4:29, 29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. - ESV

I strive to follow this teaching daily. As far as intentions, accusations, embarrassment, besides challenging you, my mistake. None of these were my motives with you, that's not of God. My desire was just a good ol' time of getting know each other, fellowship and learn. That is about bringing glory to Him.

God bless you, kv100.

Interesting thank you ... however, I must confess that most of the "scientific" evidence has gone over my head.

I do so appreciate when academia / science proves the existence of Our Creator : )

I am stepping in here because this has gone beyond disagreement over an argument. There is nothing wrong with studying mathematics, astronomy, physics, or the order God has placed in creation. Scripture says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork” (Psalm 19:1). Romans 1:20 says that God's eternal power and Godhead are “clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made.”

But you need to hear this plainly. You are not superior to Bob. You are not superior to anyone else here. Your intelligence does not put you on a higher level before God. Your understanding of mathematics does not make you more important. Your ability to explain an argument does not give you the right to speak down to another man as though he is beneath you. Actually, the way you are speaking here does not make you look more intelligent than others. It does the opposite. Pride, arrogance, and talking down to people are not signs of wisdom. "The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility” (Proverbs 15:33). If you want people to take your knowledge seriously, start by showing some humility.

When you say things such as, “your limitations are not mine,” and “We are not the same,” you are not merely defending your argument. You are exalting yourself over another person. Scripture condemns that kind of pride. “Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth” (1 Corinthians 8:1).

“Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves” (Philippians 2:3).

“For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?” (1 Corinthians 4:7).

Read that last verse carefully.

Whatever ability you have, you received it. Whatever intelligence you have, you received it. Whatever understanding you have, you received it. So what exactly do you have to boast about? Nothing.

And you certainly have no biblical basis for treating another person as intellectually beneath you. Bob approached you respectfully. He admitted that the subject was beyond him. He complimented your knowledge and asked you to explain it more simply. That was an opportunity for you to demonstrate patience and humility. Instead, you responded by emphasizing his limitations and suggesting that you somehow stand above him. Sounds like something Satan loves to tell people.

That is pride, and Scripture does not excuse it simply because someone may be intelligent and I am not saying you are intelligent.

“The servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient” (2 Timothy 2:24).

And stop claiming to know Bob's “true intentions.” You do not know his heart. “Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts” (1 Corinthians 4:5).

You may disagree with his words. You may challenge his reasoning. You may answer his questions.

You do not get to appoint yourself judge of his heart.

So understand this clearly.

You are welcome to discuss mathematics.

You are welcome to discuss astronomy.

You are welcome to defend your argument.

You are welcome to disagree strongly.

But you are not welcome to use this forum as a platform to exalt yourself over other members.

This is Biblical Truth Forum. Scripture is the final authority here. Not mathematics. Not science. Not philosophy. Not academic ability. And certainly not anyone's opinion of his own intelligence.

God “resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble” (James 4:6).

So drop the superiority. If you have something worth teaching, teach it with humility. If you have an argument worth defending, defend it without belittling people.

If you continue speaking to members as though you are above them, or continue boasting about your abilities and questioning people's motives, further moderator action will be taken.

Consider this a clear warning.

Either continue the discussion with humility and respect, or do not continue it at all.

I believe the heavens do show there is a creator. ~Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Also ~Romans 1:19-20 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. I feel that this is sufficient and is what the bible states.

However your proof is incorrect. Your formulas in premise 1 are incorrect. Kepler’s law is not T^2=G(M+m)4π2a^3 nor is Newton’s law F=G r^2 m1m2. Gravity is G x both masses divided by r^2. I don’t think we should base our argument for God on incorrect formulas. Your 1 in 10^40 statement and entropy are also a stretch. Premise 4 is philosophical in nature the bible does not state that mathematical laws are an immaterial form of language that existed before matter and must have been programmed by someone. God said let it be and it was. He upholds all things by the word of his power ~Hebrews 1:3. And by him all things consist ~Colossians 1:17.

Creation does shows that man is without excuse but it does not proclaim Christ. No one will be saved by a celestial mechanics proof. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. ~Romans 10:17

David, Thank you for your well thought out and very clearly Scriptural response ... we can all learn from this, for sure

I reflect on my past "arrogance" and remember being a "keyboard warrior" with my glass of wine beside me whilst answering my brothers and sisters, and without realising how I came across. I have to confess that I have learned the Most about Myself, here on BTF

Thank you for correcting us, and teaching us; all the while bringing us back to Scripture 🙏

This is how we can contribute to this World being a better place; we have to look inward first and foremost!

KV100, listen to understand, not to respond. If you read bobinfaith's message he said he could resort to AI to understand your argument, but appreciates being able to discuss and get a better understanding direct from the author (you), promoting deeper fellowship and getting to know you. I hope you will be able to see that this forum is not about breaking people down, but about encouraging and building up and always pointing to Christ and what the Scriptures say.
