This song captures the seriousness of Leviticus 10 very well. The repeated emphasis on God’s holiness, reverence, and obeying what He has commanded is exactly what makes this passage so sobering. Nadab and Abihu “offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not” (Leviticus 10:1), and God said, “I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me” (Leviticus 10:3).

The song is a strong reminder that worship is not about doing what seems right to us. God is holy, and His Word must govern how we come before Him.
