Check out this powerful moment from President Trump’s 2026 State of the Union Address!

During the speech, Trump put it straight to Congress: “If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support: The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.”

Republicans rose to their feet and cheered.

Every single Democrat stayed seated.

That one visual moment speaks volumes; it shows whose priorities are where.

America First isn't just a catchphrase; it's a real choice, and last night made it crystal clear where the lines are drawn.

What do you think about this? Drop a comment with AMERICANS FIRST if you stand with putting citizens first, and share the clip/video so more people can see it!

I feel compelled to ask this question:

Could it be that there are two sides to the story, and that we are hearing only one?

"Yes, the Democrats’ refusal to stand during President Trump’s 2026 State of the Union address was largely in protest against what they viewed as ICE’s misuse of power and systemic misconduct under his administration.

Multiple sources confirm that Democratic opposition stemmed from:
  • Fatal ICE operations, including the shooting of U.S. citizens in Minnesota.
  • Widespread noncompliance with court orders by ICE, with a federal judge citing 210 violations in 143 cases, threatening criminal contempt.
  • Aggressive, warrantless raids conducted by “poorly trained” agents, undermining constitutional rights and community trust.
  • A rapid expansion of ICE detention centers linked to inhumane conditions and civil rights abuses.
Democrats, including Rep. Ilhan Omar and Gov. Abigail Spanberger, explicitly tied their stance to these actions, framing ICE’s conduct as unaccountable, unconstitutional, and dangerously militarized. Their seated protest was a direct rebuke of policies they believe prioritize deportation over due process and public safety."

There are always two sides to a story, but the defense of Democrats remaining seated during President Trump’s 2026 State of the Union leaves out critical context.

ICE enforces federal law. Trump’s statement about protecting American citizens addressed national security and lawful enforcement, not abuse. Framing the protest as purely principled ignores that reality.

Minnesota ICE shootings: The cited incidents occurred during a large enforcement operation targeting individuals with final removal orders, many tied to criminal activity. Investigations are ongoing, and officials maintain several uses of force were responses to threats or resistance. These cases represent a tiny fraction of thousands of arrests. Isolated incidents do not prove systemic misconduct or invalidate lawful enforcement.

Court order violations: The reported violations were largely administrative failures during a massive surge of immigration litigation, not open defiance of courts. Similar compliance problems have existed under multiple administrations. The scale reflects processing over a million outstanding removal orders, not lawlessness.

“Warrantless raids” claims: ICE operates using administrative warrants permitted under federal policy. Training adjustments were made to expand staffing quickly, but enforcement authority remains lawful and longstanding. The narrative that enforcement itself is abusive ignores the risks agents face and the legal mandate they carry out.

Detention expansion: Facilities expanded to address years of backlog. Reports of poor conditions are serious and investigated, but they occurred within a rapidly growing system managing tens of thousands of detainees. Expansion reflects operational necessity, not intentional cruelty.

The protest: During the 2026 State of the Union, when President Trump called on Congress to affirm that the government's first duty is to protect American citizens over illegal aliens, every single Democrat refused to stand—exposing their true priorities and proving once again that the Democratic Party stands against the USA, putting the interests of non-citizens ahead of hardworking Americans who deserve safety, security, and prosperity first.

Bottom line: ICE is not perfect, but this defense relies on selective incidents while ignoring the government’s responsibility to enforce law and secure borders. Reform can be debated. Blanket condemnation of enforcement distorts reality and undermines public safety.

The Democratic Party track record show they push everything God hates. They support killing unborn babies (Exodus 20:13), twisting gender and marriage (Genesis 1:27, Romans 1:26–27), putting men in women’s sports and calling it equality (1 Corinthians 14:33), corrupting kids with perversion, silencing Christians (Acts 5:29), and celebrating sin instead of calling people to repent (Isaiah 5:20, Luke 13:3). This isn’t about politics, it’s about truth. If you claim to follow Jesus and still support a platform that openly mocks His Word, you’ve got a serious problem. You can’t serve God and stand with rebellion.

Hello Linda, David and everyone;

To interject what you're both sharing, there are two sides. The supporters of President Trump don't agree 100% with the GOP's policies but have enjoyed overall peace, confidence in our faith because so many of our leaders in this party aren't ashamed of Jesus, and are continually praying for the Trump Administration.

I reside in a metropolitan, many who stand far left and liberal. There are many of these people who I witness daily who oppose President Trump and his party. They hate this man vehemently. Forget about God, they hate this man.

I've witnessed their anger, worry, confusion and rebuke on a daily basis. Everytime the "opposing party" is mentioned the opposition goes into breakdown mode.

This mindset goes beyond our political parties and is not healthy. So, to escape they resort to their electronic device, internet media, music, etc...Ironically, these are toys that bring "temporary happiness" but cannot replace Jesus Christ who fulfills us with "eternal joy" despite the opposing parties.

In my testimony as a man of God, let's turn the tables. When Mr. Biden was our president my wife and I didn't go into breakdown mode. We prayed for him daily, not as president but a human being who served in our government for 48+ years.

My only two "go to" news resources are Fox News and Sky News Australia. But these resources alone don't replace my Bible, or God's Word.

It's important as a Christian to be informed of the world so we know how to pray. It's also important to pray and ask God to put the words on our lips before we exercise our free speech with respect to the opposing party with wholesome talk.

During 2009 - 2017 (Mr. Obama) and 2020 - 2024 (Mr. Biden) nobody threw stones, darts and arrows at my home, nobody took away our joy and peace, and God provided EVERYTHING and abundantly regarding all our needs. When our neighbor or stranger needed a cup of cold water we gave cheerfully.

For 12 years instead of breakdown mode we were blessed with uplift mode. Most important, our faith grew in submission to the Lord instead of surrendering to the world.

The Good News is, little by little, more of the liberals and left have come to know Jesus and though they may still support their party they don't have to put all their emotional and spiritual breakdown into a political party but instead in our God who remains sovereign despite global chaos, guiding us daily with His love, power, wisdom, peace, calm and joy.

Psalm 22:24-28, 24 For He has not despised or detested the torment of the afflicted. He did not hide His face from him but listened when he cried to Him for help. 25 I will give praise in the great congregation
because of You; I will fulfill my vows before those who fear You. 26 The humble will eat and be satisfied;
those who seek the Lord will praise Him. May your hearts live forever! 27 All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord. All the families of the nations will bow down before You, 28 for kingship belongs to the Lord; He rules over the nations. - HCSB

God bless you both, and everyone here.

Hi David,

I must say that my thoughts when I first saw your shared video, was why the politics : )

Well, I am out of USA politics, and don't get involved in AU politics either; Jesus is King of the World, the Universe!

I must say that I think we are (myself included, and I am now questioning that) relying a lot on AI (there are many of them on difference search engines)

This is what came up when I ask Brave's AI a question:

"No, Trump's ICE is not playing fair, according to multiple sources, including federal courts, polling data, and expert analysis.
  • Federal courts have ruled ICE's actions unlawful, finding that the agency engaged in "dragnets" of warrantless arrests without individualized probable cause, violating the Fourth Amendment. A federal judge in Oregon issued a preliminary injunction blocking ICE from conducting civil immigration arrests without warrants or a probable cause determination.
  • ICE has repeatedly defied court orders: In January 2026, a Minnesota federal judge found that ICE disobeyed 97 court orders from 74 different immigration cases in just one month—more than some federal agencies violate in their entire existence.
  • Public opinion strongly rejects ICE’s tactics: A February 2026 Marist Poll found 65% of Americans believe ICE has gone too far in enforcing immigration laws, up from 54% in June 2025. Only 33% approve of ICE’s job performance.
  • Racial profiling and credibility issues: Courts have found ICE engaged in racial profiling in Los Angeles, and media and whistleblower reports indicate a pattern of misleading statements, especially during violent encounters. The New York Times reported that ICE’s "loss of credibility" has led to repeated legal losses.
  • Internal doubts and political fallout: Even within the administration, officials have questioned the approach. After the fatal shootings of U.S. citizens Renee Good and Alex Pretti, Trump replaced the Border Patrol commander, and polling showed a sharp drop in support for the ICE operation in Minnesota.
While the Trump administration frames its enforcement as necessary, evidence from courts, polls, and watchdog groups indicates a pattern of overreach, legal violations, and erosion of public trust."

Anyway, don't get me wrong, I am not trying to be right here, I am endeavouring to see both sides : )

While the Trump administration frames its enforcement as necessary, evidence from courts, polls, and watchdog groups indicates a pattern of overreach, legal violations, and erosion of public trust."
That claim is exactly why President Trump was elected. The American people grew tired of media narratives that constantly frame lawful enforcement as “overreach” while ignoring the real concerns of citizens. For years, many watched unelected activists, partisan watchdog groups, and far-left voices gain outsized influence over how the country was being run, often pushing policies the public never voted for.

Voters saw rising disorder, selective reporting, and institutions losing credibility, and they decided it was enough. Trump’s election was a response to that frustration. People wanted enforcement of existing laws, accountability in government, and a return to policies that put American citizens first.

In short, millions believed the country was heading in the wrong direction and needed a course correction before we lost what makes the United States stable, lawful, and secure. That is why he won.

I appreciate you wanting to see both sides. That’s a good instinct. But this example actually shows why AI answers should be handled carefully. AI does not investigate events. It summarizes dominant sources from media, academic, and online material. Most News and media leans far left. If those sources lean one direction politically, the output will often reflect that same framing. That means an AI response is not independent proof. It is a summary of existing narratives.

My point was never that ICE or any government agency is perfect. Human systems aren’t. But Scripture teaches that governing authorities exist to restrain wrongdoing: “For he is the minister of God to thee for good” ~Romans 13:4. Enforcement itself is not injustice simply because it is controversial.

The reason politics enters the discussion is moral, not partisan. When policies touch issues God has already spoken on, believers cannot separate faith from public life. “We ought to obey God rather than men” ~Acts 5:29.

So the goal isn’t to argue politics. It’s to test claims carefully and not treat AI summaries or public opinion as final authority. “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good” ~1 Thessalonians 5:21.

Concerns about political bias in artificial intelligence are not coming out of nowhere. There are direct and logical reasons many people believe AI systems show bias against President Trump and Republicans.

Directly, AI systems are often developed by individuals with liberal leanings, which can lead to a left-leaning bias in their programming. Media and technology companies, which are the primary creators of AI systems, tend to lean left, and this bias might inadvertently find its way into the AI models they create. AI systems are also trained on vast amounts of data from the internet, where left-leaning viewpoints are more prevalent and vocal, which can lead to a skewed representation of opinions.

Logically, the perceived bias against Republicans or conservatives in AI systems can be attributed to the fact that they are primarily developed by individuals and companies with liberal political leanings. The training data used to develop AI systems tends to come from sources that lean left, which can lead to a biased representation of opinions. The overrepresentation of liberal viewpoints in AI systems can create an echo chamber effect, reinforcing and amplifying these viewpoints while marginalizing conservative opinions.

This perceived bias can have significant implications for political discourse, as AI systems are increasingly being used to moderate online discussions and make decisions that affect people's lives.

I posted the following because I cannot understand when someone claims to be a Christian and then turns around and supports this: The Democratic Party track record show they push everything God hates. They support killing unborn babies (Exodus 20:13), twisting gender and marriage (Genesis 1:27, Romans 1:26–27), putting men in women’s sports and calling it equality (1 Corinthians 14:33), corrupting kids with perversion, silencing Christians (Acts 5:29), and celebrating sin instead of calling people to repent (Isaiah 5:20, Luke 13:3). Hello Linda;

What is Brave's AI? After reading your post is an example of hearing both sides, not necessarily you as you stated but the sources you received.

When I hear both sides is beneficial all the while following the teaching of Proverbs 18:17, 17 The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him. - HCSB

Arguments or discussions of the political arena in this case also include the media and social platforms "sharing the stage." One side may sound convincing but can be easily exposed or answered by an opponent in such a way that this may not benefit the advancing of God’s kingdom.

May God bless us all.

Yes, tragically this is exactly what is happening in Australia (mirror "image"), UK, Canada, NZ and others?
We can only pray that God is using DJT for His Glory!

Good morning, Linda;

Thank you for sharing Brave AI. I researched it and was surprised to learn it's headquartered in San Francisco, right in my own backyard. lol! But after reviewing, for me, it's like learning to read the Bible. I'm so out of touch with it's informational terminology and orientation.

God bless you, Linda.

Hi Bob,
Yes, I must confess that I have been using Brave AI a bit too often and I'm worried about relying on it; it becoming a habit.
It is true that AI scours the internet, and I can do that too and used to; the relevant topics (searched for by me) are just below AI's answer.
Amazing that Brave is on your "doorstep" : )
What a Time to be living on this Planet.
I know that God uses Everything to His Glory ... turns everything around that is meant to harm us, to make good His Kingdom : )
Blessings Bob and Hazel xx
