Greetings,

I'm just another guy who enjoys discussing and learning about Christian history and apologetics, and always interested in ever greater degrees of truth. At present, I live in the sticks, a bit isolated from other human beings, or at least being able to easily connect with other human beings, hence one of my three reasons for signing up here, the other two being a whim and a fancy.

Welcome, there are a few "regulars" who also love to uncover the Truth of the Bible, and to learn how to discern, how to read and understand Scripture. It seems that the more we walk with Christ, the less we need people around us. However, it is great to meet new friends who are on the same path, and it is exciting learning so much here ... the more I learn, the less I worry about what is happening in the World. Enjoy the forum : )

Welcome, Tom. Glad you’re here.

You’ll find this is a place that takes truth seriously and keeps the focus where it belongs, on what God has actually said. Your desire to grow and pursue truth matters, because Scripture says, “Thy word is truth” ~John 17:17. That’s the standard we measure everything by.

Being out in the sticks can feel isolating, but you’re not cut off from what matters most. “The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth” ~Psalm 145:18. If you’re seeking Him in His Word, you’re not alone.

Jump into the discussions, ask questions, test everything by Scripture, and don’t be afraid to sharpen and be sharpened. “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend” ~Proverbs 27:17.

Good to have you with us.

Glad to be here. Looking forward to insightful interaction with fellow believers in Christ.
It's not that how well I make my home somehow measures me but rather homemaking is an opportunity to sew to the Spirit and serve God. It is the hidden person of the heart that God treasures. So if I serve in my home with a good attitude, love, and view to honor God, the temporary engagement of homemaking becomes my spiritual advantage.
Jesus spoke in a way that exposed pride and blindness. “Every one that doeth evil hateth the light… lest his deeds should be reproved” ~John 3:20. When someone resists the truth, it is not because the truth is unclear. It is because the heart does not want it.
