The book of Jude gives us one of the strongest warnings in the New Testament about the danger of false teachers and the responsibility we have to stand against them. In verses 3 and 4, Jude says, “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares...” This tells us that contending for the faith is not optional; it’s necessary. False teachers don’t announce themselves, they creep in unnoticed. They appear spiritual, they use Christian language, but they twist the grace of God into a license for sin and deny the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are not called to be passive in the face of deception. Scripture commands us to mark those who cause divisions through false doctrine (Romans 16:17), rebuke them sharply so they may be sound in the faith (Titus 1:13), and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them (Ephesians 5:11). This forum is here for that exact purpose, to expose and refute false teachings using the Word of God as our final authority. Whether it’s salvation by works, the denial of Jesus’ deity, abuse of spiritual gifts, or any teaching that departs from the gospel, we must speak up and stand firm.
