I love music with true grit and truth, the kind that does not just sound good but makes you stop and examine your heart. This song hits a nerve church people often avoid: you can quote the Bible, expose false teachers, pray loudly, and still be the Pharisee in the story.Jesus said, “The publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you” (Matthew 21:31). He was not excusing their sin. He was exposing religious people who could see everyone else’s sin but refused to repent of their own.The tax collector in Luke 18 cried, “God be merciful to me a sinner,” and Jesus said he went home justified rather than the Pharisee. God is not impressed by church clothes, platforms, applause, or religious performance. The real question is not how righteous we look online. It is whether we have truly humbled ourselves at the cross.
