I use it all the time. e-Sword is a Bible study software program designed to help users read, search, compare, and study Scripture with helpful Bible study tools.
The basic e-Sword installation includes the King James Bible, KJV with Strong’s numbers, Strong’s Hebrew and Greek Dictionaries, Smith’s Bible Dictionary, Treasury of Scripture Knowledge cross references, and other study resources. Additional resources can also be downloaded through e-Sword’s built-in Download menu.
This resource can be useful for Bible reading, word searches, cross-references, note-taking, comparing passages, and deeper Scripture study. It is available for PC, with related versions for Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android.
As with any Bible study tool, e-Sword should be used as a help, not as the final authority. Scripture itself is the standard. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” ~2 Timothy 3:16. The Bereans were commended because they “searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so” ~Acts 17:11.
