  • Jesus spoke in a way that exposed pride and blindness. “Every one that doeth evil hateth the light… lest his deeds should be reproved” ~John 3:20. When someone resists the truth, it is not because the truth is unclear. It is because the heart does not want it.
After Christ, you’ve been brought into the light. Now there’s a clash. Light and darkness don’t mix. That’s why the struggle shows up. It’s not because nothing happened. It’s because something did happen.
You’re not in darkness anymore. But the presence of light is exactly why you now see the fight.
We live in a time when the world is working harder and harder to silence the gospel of hope. Every day the hostility grows toward those who speak openly about Christ and the truth of salvation. But the question still stands: where else can sinners go to be saved? Jesus Christ alone has the words of eternal life ~John 6:68.
“Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?” ~Jeremiah 23:29
The world does not need more Christian literature. What it needs is more
    Christians writing good literature.
    - C.S. Lewis
The gospel does not need to be reimagined, softened, or updated. It needs to be believed, obeyed, and defended.
A faith that never bends the knee in obedience or opens the hand in compassion is not biblical faith.

Biblical faith isn’t just belief in the head. It changes the life. Jesus said, “Why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” ~Luke 6:46. Scripture says “faith without works is dead” ~James 2:17. We’re saved by grace ~Ephesians 2:8-9, but real faith produces obedience and compassion ~Ephesians 2:10.
The Bible is the only Book that gives us any indication of the true nature of sin, and where it came from. ~ Oswald Chambers
Jesus reveals Himself as the stronger King, exposes hardened unbelief, warns against empty religion, and calls for wholehearted allegiance, showing that neutrality toward Him does not exist.

Jesus is King, our Spiritual King who will Return to Reign!
The King James Version is a faithful and trustworthy translation and has stood the test of time. Other translations must be tested carefully against Scripture. Some modern versions blur or soften what God speaks plainly about sin, repentance, and judgment, and that matters ~2 Peter 3:16.

Thank you for that David, as I sometimes wonder why I use it, when there are so many other versions : )
Light received brings life, but light rejected brings judgment. Hearing Christ without repentance hardens the heart and increases accountability before God, as Jesus warns the cities that saw His works and still refused to bow ~Matthew 11:20–24.
Jesus warns that true allegiance to Him will bring open resistance, persecution, and division, and that only those who endure faithfully prove they truly belong to Him ~Matthew 10:16–22.
Doctrine does not correct Jesus’ words; it comes from them, and any theology that softens what He plainly said is not submitting to Him.
A new year is riding in, but God has not changed. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever ~Hebrews 13:8. Changing the calendar will not change a man’s heart. Repent, walk straight, and keep your life anchored in the Word. Eternity is closer than it was yesterday.
“If we don’t know the Bible, if we don’t know doctrine, if we don’t know theology, it is virtually impossible for us to identify false prophets.” – Voddie Baucham
Scripture warns that false teachers look harmless but twist God’s Word. “Beware of false prophets” ~Matthew 7:15. Test every teaching by Scripture alone, because God says, “Do not add to His words” ~Proverbs 30:6. Stay with the truth, and reject every counterfeit.
Preach the truth and you’ll separate the Goats from the Sheep. Expose the lies and you’ll uncover the Wolves among the flock.

Because the Bible is not up for debate.
I don’t follow religion, I follow Jesus Christ.
I don’t lean on tradition, I stand on Scripture.
I don’t water down the gospel to make people comfortable. I proclaim it as God gave it.
Open rebuke is better than secret love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.” ~ Proverbs 27:5-6
False teachers don’t always show up with obvious lies. They creep in quietly, mixing truth with poison, and the end result is destruction, for themselves and for those who follow them. That’s why we must test everything by Scripture and reject anything that doesn’t line up with the Word of God. see ~ 2 Peter 2:1
“When will we realize that one of the greatest mission fields in the West is the pews of our churches every Sunday morning?”
    ~ Paul Washer
“The reason why many are still troubled, still seeking, still making little forward progress is because they haven't yet come to the end of themselves. We're still trying to give orders, and interfering with God's work within us. ”
    ~ A.W. Tozer

Perhaps we could learn more about The Father, The Son and Holy Spirit, and who to pray to ... I've written a private message to you David, to explain my dilemma : )
The Prophets and Apostles were not hated and killed for preaching love, but for preaching truth.

Glad to be here. Looking forward to insightful interaction with fellow believers in Christ.
It's not that how well I make my home somehow measures me but rather homemaking is an opportunity to sew to the Spirit and serve God. It is the hidden person of the heart that God treasures. So if I serve in my home with a good attitude, love, and view to honor God, the temporary engagement of homemaking becomes my spiritual advantage.
